Freight quote request

Four short sections. If you do not know an answer, leave it blank or write “not sure” — we will work it out with you.

    1. What are we moving?

    2. Who are we quoting for?

    3. Shipment details

    4. Size and value

    5. Timing and extras

We reply to quote requests within one business day. Urgent? Call 1300 972 040.

    What happens next

    We read it properly

A freight coordinator reviews your cargo details, not an automated rate engine. If something in the brief will cost you money, we tell you before we quote.

    We price the whole journey

Origin charges, freight, terminal and port charges, customs entry, duty and GST estimate, biosecurity and delivery — itemised so you can see every line.

You get options, not one number

Where it makes sense we quote sea and air side by side, or LCL against a 20ft container, so you can choose on cost and timing rather than guesswork.

    One business day

Standard quotes come back within one business day. Complex project cargo may take longer and we will tell you when to expect it.

Would you rather talk it through?

Some shipments are easier to explain than to type. Call 1300 972 040 during normal business hours, or email freight@movingsolutions.com.au.

    Quote transparency

What a Moving Solutions International quote includes

A freight quote is only useful if it survives contact with reality. Ours is built as a landed cost, so the number you approve is close to the number you pay. Where a charge genuinely cannot be fixed in advance, we show it as an estimate and explain what moves it.

Most of what we price is ocean freight — either a full container or a shared container — and we quote air freight alongside it whenever the timing might justify the difference. Customs clearance and delivery to your door sit in the same document rather than arriving as a separate invoice later.

    Quoting questions

Questions about getting a freight quote

Is a quote free and is there any obligation?

Yes, quoting is free and there is no obligation. We would rather spend twenty minutes helping you understand the numbers than win a shipment you were not ready for.

How long is a freight quote valid for?

Ocean and air rates move with the market, so quotes normally carry a validity period of 14 to 30 days depending on the lane and season. Peak periods such as the weeks before Chinese New Year can be shorter. The validity is always stated on the quote.

I only have a supplier invoice. Is that enough?

Usually yes. A commercial invoice tells us the goods, values and often the carton count. Send it through and we will ask for anything else we need.

Can you quote if I do not know my Incoterm?

Absolutely. Tell us what your supplier has offered and we will explain which Incoterm you are actually on and whether a different one would leave you better off. Our Incoterms guide is a useful starting point.

Do you quote one-off shipments or only ongoing accounts?

Both. Plenty of clients start with a single trial shipment. If it goes well, we set up a standing arrangement with agreed rates and reporting.

Will you beat a quote I already have?

We will tell you honestly whether the quote you are holding is genuinely cheaper or simply missing charges that will appear later. If it is a fair price, we will say so.

    Prefer to skip the form?

Call 1300 972 040 and describe the shipment. Most quotes start with a five-minute conversation.
